Paris – 2015

Cuban-American artist Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada is currently in Paris for his solo show ”L’Eternel Instant Présent” at Galerie Mathgoth on view until 21 November 2015.

In parallel to his solo show ”L’Eternel Instant Présent” at Galerie Mathgoth the artist completed a large scale mural entitled “Ana the muse”, visible in Paris 13th district and curated by Galerie Mathgoth. It took him four and a half-days to create this gigantic 20 x 10 metres fresco on the facade of one of Paris Habitat buildings only using charcoal.

Three projects were submitted to the residents and the one that ended up being selected was actually the portrait of his wife Ana. The residents had no idea about it and the artist was very proud to paint his wife and mother of his three children portrait in Paris.
If you are in the capital the fresco is visible at 63, Rue Nationale, Paris 13.
