MONUMENTAL MOMENTS - THE HUG
ASPECT
I have collaborated with Neurocrine Biosciences on its Monumental Moments initiative, and have created an original bronze sculpture entitled ‘Monumental Moments – The Hug’.
NARRATIVE
This 10-foot-tall bronze sculpture was unveiled at New York City’s Lincoln Center and immortalises and celebrates the human spirit and resilience of all those who have been impacted by the social distancing and challenges associated with the pandemic.
Unveiled ahead of World Mental Health Day, this work recognises the importance of connecting, support and touch, as so many have longed to embrace their loved ones during these times.

RESPIRA (BREATHE)
ASPECT
An artistic intervention using complex forms that create an unexpected shadow, which brings forth the appearance of the message RESPIRA (BREATHE), on the street.
NARRATIVE
The artwork is a large-format piece that brings to discussion issues that are currently necessary to address, such as global warming, the use of oil, the accumulation of toxic gases in the atmosphere, and even that of the models of the cities of the future. Gerada develops the work within the framework of the activities of the ‘SuperBlock’ (Superilla) in the Poblenou section of Barcelona, Spain.
The piece was created in collaboration with the Poblenou Urban District, Fab Lab Barcelona, the IAAC (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia) and B-Murals.
The unique shapes created by the artist became street art sculptures, which were painted by H101, Rubicon and Roc Blackblock.
